Hello December x Happy December

Hola! I'm back with a proper post about life. School's out so I've been using the time to be useful and all that jazz. I think I've sort of done the things I wanted to do so I'm just left with more cooking, baking, reading, biking, tv series-ing, riding and lazing.

Really excited for what December will bring to me. To be honest, I've pretty high expectations for it. For one, it is my birthday month & I've the sorry excuse to be a pain in the ass for one day in one year of my life & no one can deny me of my demands. Otherwise, I think birthdays are pretty much overrated. Possibly the only one good point for it is the excuse to meet up with all the friends that matter.

For two, I'm hosting a Christmas party over at my place this year but I haven't sent out the invite so don't worry if you haven't got yours yet. It's going to be a good one, I just feel it inside me. Been obsessing with baking a perfect log cake, getting all the fancy decor & drinks, & working on a Christmas playlist. It's going to be fantastic, I just know it.

For three, I'm heading to Malaysia for a 5-day trip somewhere midweek into December with Rachel & Theresa. (My BKK trip has been cancelled and my mom is thinking of January but we'll see how long the riots last for) We'd be stopping by Malacca & KL, & I really hope it isn't going to turn out as...tiring? painful? death-inducing?...as the previous one that we had in Thailand.

Alright, that's pretty much it for the major events but there are those little ones that I'm looking forward to as well. It's gonna be a good December! & a very happy one indeed!

Been riding lately. Takes my mind off things I guess... Also been bribing my babies with carrots and I haven't got bitten again so I guess they're responding to my bribes! Have also been considering signing up for Polo class but we'll see how that goes...

Alright, gonna post some pictures for aesthetic purposes...

T2B: Back into the old lifestyle | Halloween @ Zouk | JB with Berns | Minions, Black Swan, Little Mermaid, Fairy & Rachel | My baby @ STCRC who loves to bite but I love her anyway | My usual mode of stress relieving | Blueberry Cheesecake which I'm actually quite proud of baking - will post the recipe I used by mixing & matching online recipes for my next update!

Okkkk time for a nap. Ciao!

Update quicker than a quick update

Have been feeling pretty satisfied with life lately. Which is ironic because I seem to have lost some of my motivation & drive to succeed (yes I can be strangely competitive). Well, you can't have everything you want (unless you really force it but that's just too much trouble).

Hello, how is everyone? It has been a month since I last blogged. In my defense, I just do not seem to have a lot to talk about. What else is there to rant apart from school and my alternate lifestyle that I obviously would not blog about (which I finally got back to doing after a 6-week hiatus). People talk. Looked through my planner. It is pretty packed but there is nothing in particular that I want to talk about. Or maybe I should just take more pictures. Live life with no regrets. Take & upload all the pictures I want to.

I just read the previous post and it's funny how I'm far from what I was feeling then.

Let me search my brain for some interesting things that you can watch this space for...well...there's nothing unless you wanna look at pictures of food...with no recommendations/critics whatsoever because my taste bud is like...either it's good or it's bad...there is no "this is better than that" so you can guess that if I claim that something tastes bad, it really tastes bad. Ok I haven't been traveling as well. I'm not into fashion, I wear whatever the hell I like, so there's nothing blog worthy. Although I'm starting to feel that I'm too casual for school so I'm going to put in some effort to show my schoolmates that I actually do have pretty clothing & I will promise to stop having a theme for the week... I'm not particularly good with makeup, I look the same when I go for parties, a day out or school. I'm having problems with my own hair so that can't be an option. I can talk about some of my workout regimes but I haven't been exercising regularly like I used to so what the heck, it would be hypocritical of me to talk about exercise. I'm also non-confrontational so you can't expect me to critic about social issues & whatnots. I don't upload videos of myself singing or talking...just random videos that I edit when I'm bored (I'm still not done with the BKK vid). So basically there is nothing you can look forward to read here but oh! Dawn & I are currently working on something special that you can hope to see sometime in December? But it has nothing to do with jacktherockstar.

Well...riding starts again in November! That's something for me to look forward to...not for you because I don't think my instructor will allow me to take pictures but maybe I can coerce him into helping me sneak a pic or two.

In other news, I'm probably going to Bangkok in December, which makes it the second time for 2013. Probably some time around my birthday, which would make it the 2nd consecutive year that I wouldn't be in Singapore for my birthday. I'm also intending to skip out of town for my 21st but we'll see how it goes.

& recently, I asked my mom why she didn't give me a Thai name & she said there is no use for a Thai name in Singapore. Fair enough. An argument well played.

I would still prefer my name to be like... Aerin Saengdee or something.

Anyway, been really glad that all my favourite TV series started & I've also started a House marathon. It is so so so ironic how I complain about the lack of time & there I'm watching all my favourite shows. Well, I guess either you're unimportant or you don't try hard enough to pry me away from my Mac.

Recently I've thought about getting serious about things & stop being a joker in class. I've to realize that trying to be funny means that people are going to think you're stupid & judge you for the littlest things that you say. Not that I can really change who I'm inside so I'm just going to stop talking in general. So much for "no question is a stupid question".

Ok I'm probably boring everyone so I'm going to sit back & relax. Till we meet again :)

Don't read, it's a boring post.

I don't really know what's up but I've been feeling a little down for the past few days & I can't blame it on PMS because my ovaries are failing & I know it is definitely not the time for my period to come (btw, PMS is very real & any girl who tries to deny this should consider if she is really female or not).

Have been really annoyed by myself. I just feel that no matter how hard I study or how much I try to fill my time with activities, I still have too much time to think. Ironic because in reality I barely have enough time to do everything. Aside from this week because it is e-learning & I managed to check everything off my checklist pretty quickly - I'm very good at time management okay - which is also the reason why I've time to blog now (or maybe I'm just taking this blogging thing very seriously - loljk not happening). Not that it is a very exciting post or anything but it would be funny for me to come back to this post in 3 months time to read about how ridiculous I was during the school semester (why do people not do this more often?!).

Had a ridiculous dream this morning (I wouldn't say last night because I woke up in the morning right? & you only remember dreams that you last had prior to waking up) & I don't know if I should laugh or cry because it brought back so much feelings, too much (it wasn't a sad dream but it ended up reminding me of some things that I'd rather not remember - does that make sense?!). Tsk, brain, you could have done a better job. You did so well for the past few weeks! This dream contributed to the growing sadness - the emptiness which I accuse the season for causing. This random sadness has never failed to haunt me somewhere between September and December & between April and June.

Nonetheless, I'm grateful for the past week because I got to meet most of my friends! SOS (can't live without them girls), Bev (after 2 years), Cloud9 (after a year) - wtf reckless driving in the rain - & Gossip Warriors (back @ NP, like old times). It is moments like these that I feel so blessed to have friends that will always be there for me. But when it is time to leave, I fall back to feeling lonely again. Meh. The hole in my soul is worrying me. I can't seem to fill the gap no matter how hard I try. Seriously wonder how introverted introverts can stand how lonely it gets being alone (I've a theory that there are introverted extroverts and introverted introverts). If I don't get to fill my social meter, I will feel that there is something wrong with me & all the insecurities of life will start to surface. Dramatic? Yes, I know. Wonder what caused the change though, I didn't used to be like this. Probably society. I blame every other thing on society.

I guess it can also be implied that I'm typing this post as a means of talking to someone who cares enough to know what I'm feeling. Sigh. Admitting to be a loser. Story of my life.

Actually nah, I'm just an attention seeker that's all :)

เหนื่อย

Okay I think it is definitely time to start blogging before jacktherockstar slowly dies out & this becomes a bad habit. I told myself that I would start blogging regularly but who was I trying to kid? Nonetheless, I'd still try to update this space despite only having a slightly interesting life these past few days (or rather weeks) from the last post. At the end of the previous post, I mentioned that the next post would be a Running Words but I lied. I don't have the time to jot down my thoughts & feelings at length as I used to. I guess it's all part & parcel of growing up. Probably this space would cease to exist in the near future but for now, I would like to think it is an essential part of me. There are a lot of memories documented within this blog (a large part of old posts are no longer available for the public to see but I still go back & read the retarded posts that I created when I was younger - to think I thought I was pretty cool back then) Well, blogs used to be a space where you could just pen down your thoughts but I think it is now a platform where you upload images of the "cool" things that you did. So I guess that's why I've slowly stopped blogging. I'm not cool enough...

Anyway, moving on to some updates of significant parts of my life (most of which I instagramed or tweeted about). I've just ended week 2 of varsity life & it is most definitely an experience that I've not expected to be laid out in such a way. Yes I've heard many stories of how it is going to be so lonely & also, since I'm an Arts student, I'd be doing a lot of readings & most of the time, it would only be possible to read 80-90% of all the readings due to time constraints. All doubts I had on the stories vanished when I started school. Yes, I'd like to agree with the notion that university life can indeed be very lonely. Only because of the freedom to pick the modules you'd like to study, thus having to make new friends from each mod (unless you've got a lot of friends, which then I'd like to congratulate you) or only having friends in certain mods. Honestly, I would not encourage picking a mod just because your friends are in it as it would ultimately be losing a great opportunity to study what you're interested in. Also, I've a crazy amount of readings to do. On top of readings, there are assignments to worry about & I also have homework from my language mod. Oh how much I've missed doing homework. Life seemed to be a lot easier when there was homework instead of assignments. But really, pros & cons. Alas, the stress is building up. Yes, just from the second week of university... Tutorials are starting next week so school hours are going to be a lot longer henceforth. Thank God for Muay Thai, sometimes, you really need co-curricular activities to keep your mind off things...& also as an avenue to vent out all the frustrations.

I couldn't really remember what happened since the last post (other than 3 20th birthdays - Bernice, Kahjun & Cheryl) so I consulted my dear iPhone & I'm just going to upload whatever photos that are in it. Ron & Ezra are really just lazing around at home... Also took some photos off FB, which most of you can't see haha... Photos are uploaded at random (as you can tell by the change in hair color haha)

I'm still as vain as I ever was :)

Pretty strawberry milkshake

Bernice's 20th at Hungry Chimps!

Yes I foolishly cut my fringe. Which was a bad decision, hence my fringe being pinned up now... :(

Beer battered cupcakes

Peanut butter & chocolate chip cupcakes

Double chocolate cupcakes

I've been baking! Seems to get better & better. I guess practice really does make perfect :):)

We went to Fiv五 to celebrate Chloe's last day of internship! Ordered an Asahi tower & it was the happiest day of my life :):)

Cheryl's 20th at Hatched!

The only day I would be patriotic enough to wear a cap with a merlion on it...

This holiday was really crazy on partying (sometimes I don't even know who I took pictures with) & more but hey, I did it in intervals.

I really miss the days in LA with Deb & Rr :"(

& the last few days in LA when Theresa joined us :'''(

Everything was so different then...

Alright, gotta head to bed & continue my readings tomorrow, after a long morning run. I haven't been running since I've stopped going to the gym & I should really continue my weekly 10km runs. Ciao! Gonna end this post with a photo from a few years back...

Penang 2013

Hey there! I'm back after a one month hiatus. Have been really busy with camps, Penang - which is exactly what I'm blogging about right now - & doing nothing. Penang was kinda a spontaneous thing suggested by my dad & it is seriously a good place to head to if all you want to do is eat & sleep. Hahahahaha

Day 1

Obligatory shot.

Had to take a shot on the runway! Not many chances to do so hahaha

Penang is famous for their street art & it is actually really amazing if you're able to find them all. There is even a map that indicates where the artworks are located.

There you have it! The famous Penang Laksa :Q___

To be honest, I can't remember what we did for the first day but I'm guessing we were exploring Jalan Macalister, stocking up on food, tapping on wifi whenever we could & eating a lot... We went to New Lane for dinner & it really does live up to its name man. Food was deelish! & we had dinner there for 3 nights hahaha

Day 2

We spent the second day exploring Georgetown, the Clan Jetty, Straits Quay & Tesco. Basically just roaming around. Mostly, I knew I was just falling asleep everywhere...

Mean looking kitty

My ride

I'm so tanned...

The best photo out of the lot. Selfie with my bff.

Fat dog

This my friends, is the best thing that ever happened to McFlurry. Please have it if you ever have the chance to!!!

Day 3

Went to Penang Hill

Pretty cool train structure

Day 4

We went to the beach & it was deserted hahahaha

Had a nice long lunch at The Ship

Ordered a Tiger & was so fascinated by the coaster that I had to take a picture of it! So cute!

Grilled Fish

Beef Kebab

Fried Chicken

Day 5

Home bound! Basically, like I said before, this trip was really super relaxing and lazy. It was awesome because all I did was eat & sleep but it was bad because I gained a lot of weight :(

I understand that is one of the most chill blog post I've had in awhile. Zero effect putting this together. I should seriously work on being a lot more interesting but I guess most people do not read what I've to say so it doesn't make much of a difference... But! The next post should be interesting because I do have some stuff I wanna say about myself. I think it could be the start of Running Words again...

Ciao!
